To accompany the opening of the new Patek Philippe boutique in Prague's prestigious Pařížská Street, Carollinum—Czechia's premier luxury retailer and authorized partner of the brand—required a digital presence of matching caliber. The objective was to create a standalone, high-end website that embodies "quiet luxury" and serves as a refined digital gateway. The previous solution: a single, template-bound subpage on Carollinum’s corporate website fell short of the brand’s exclusivity. The new site needed to allow discerning clients to explore the collections in detail prior to visiting, harmonize global brand standards with the local boutique context, and give the internal team an effortless way to manage content.
Patek Philippe enforces rather strict global guidelines for digital retail partners. Our challenge was to adhere to these rules meticulously while crafting a bespoke digital experience that offers superb usability and local relevance. We designed a highly minimalist interface featuring smooth micro-interactions and an elegant, hidden navigation menu, stripping away all visual noise to let the exquisite craftsmanship of the watches take center stage.
We subjected official product photography and promotional videos to rigorous technical optimization. Our goal was to guarantee rapid page load speeds without compromising the crisp detail. We applied the same precision when integrating local photography and videos of the Prague boutique. Produced under our supervision by our long-term partner, production company Goodie Baddie, ensuring these regional assets blend seamlessly with the brand’s global visual standards.
We built the site on Webflow, which allowed us to translate a highly demanding design concept into pixel-perfect code while maintaining exceptional performance. The core of the platform is a robust CMS that houses a dynamic catalog of watch models, organized by collection. To help clients navigate the extensive inventory, we implemented an intuitive filtering system based on technical specifications and watch complications.
To minimize maintenance overhead and streamline updates, we integrated Vimeo via API to handle high-bandwidth video content. We designed a simplified administration interface within Webflow CMS, enabling Carollinum's team to quickly upload and update videos. The system automatically handles video encoding and delivery, ensuring smooth playback at the optimal resolution across all devices.
The final product reflects the precision of fine watchmaking through effortless transition animations and clean, balanced layouts. The website’s luxury feel is not achieved through superficial decoration, but through the flawless execution of its digital craftsmanship.
The site serves as a premium marketing tool. It introduces newcomers to the heritage of the collections, allows seasoned collectors to study intricate complications, and naturally builds anticipation for an in-person visit to the Prague boutique.
Additionally, Carollinum gained full operational independence. The marketing team can now update text, swap imagery, and manage the entire product catalog directly within the CMS without relying on external developers. This significantly lowers ongoing maintenance costs and drastically reduces the time to market for content updates.
